In 1985 Shard Pottery was created by Artist, Victoria Rattigan. She began selling her handmade pottery to gift shops along the New England coastline. The first stores located in Maine to sell her line of pottery were The Admiral Buttons in Camden and Leila Day's Antiques in Castine. Today both of these wonderful stores continue to sell Shard Pottery in their shops and have plenty of stories to tell their customers of all the colorful changes that have made Victoria's designs classic.
NEWS FOR 2012
Shard Pottery is proud to announce our Plate For A Plate Campaign starting Spring of 2012. For every purchase of Shard Pottery a meal will be donated to a person in need. We recognize the importance of hunger prevention in the United States and this is our small way towards helping our communities. Updates on this campaign and links to the Hunger Prevention Progams that we have partnered with will be added to the website shortly. We hope our customers pass on the word of purchasing with a purpose.
